Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive land use plans and zoning regulations for unincorporated Fulton County
- Analyze development proposals for compliance with county ordinances and environmental standards
- Lead public engagement initiatives including community workshops and public hearings
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for Board of Commissioners approval
- Collaborate with regional agencies (ARC, GDOT) on transportation and infrastructure projects
- Manage GIS mapping and spatial analysis for urban planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive planning experience in local government
- Georgia Certified Planner (GACP) or AICP certification required
- Expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro) and planning analytics tools
- Proven track record in community engagement and public speaking
- Knowledge of Georgia planning regulations and local government operations
