Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive urban planning initiatives for Boston's infrastructure revitalization projects
- Analyze zoning regulations and recommend policy improvements for sustainable development
- Coordinate cross-departmental stakeholder engagement including public hearings and community forums
- Develop data-driven planning reports using GIS mapping and demographic analysis tools
- Oversee environmental impact assessments and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal transportation initiatives
- Mentor junior planning staff and conduct peer reviews of development proposals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal planning or government infrastructure projects
- Expertise in zoning laws, environmental regulations, and urban design principles
- Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and data visualization tools
- Strong public speaking skills and experience facilitating community meetings
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license with clean record
- LEED AP or AICP certification preferred
