Responsibilities
- Lead complex urban planning projects from concept to implementation
- Analyze zoning regulations and recommend policy improvements
- Conduct community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare environmental reviews and land use applications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and public officials
- Develop comprehensive neighborhood planning documents
- Monitor compliance with city planning goals and regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
- 5+ years of urban planning experience in government or public sector
- Strong knowledge of NYC zoning resolution and land use laws
- Expertise in GIS mapping and urban design principles
- Proven ability to facilitate community meetings and public hearings
- Experience with environmental impact assessments (SEQR)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
