Responsibilities
- Manage and organize complex court dockets, calendars, and case files with absolute accuracy.
- Prepare and process legal documents, including summonses, subpoenas, and judgments, ensuring strict adherence to state and federal protocols.
- Interact with judges, attorneys, litigants, and court staff, providing clear and professional information regarding court procedures.
- Utilize case management software to update case status, maintain digital and physical records, and generate legal reports.
- Ensure courtroom readiness by arranging seating, equipment, and files prior to sessions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive legal and personal data.
- Assist in the execution of writs and other court orders under the direction of the presiding judge.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a legal or court administration setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and Pennsylvania state laws.
- Exceptional typing speed (45+ WPM) and accuracy with MS Office Suite and specialized case management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Unwavering commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy filing boxes as needed.
