Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats using SIEM tools
- Develop and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Lead incident response activities including forensic investigation and remediation
- Conduct periodic security audits and compliance assessments
- Create detailed security documentation and vulnerability reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
- Maintain compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DoD security standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and penetration testing
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto, Tenable
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Strong knowledge of DoD RMF and NIST frameworks
