Responsibilities
- Lead incident response operations for federal systems within North Carolina
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop and maintain advanced threat detection protocols
- Coordinate with NC state agencies on cybersecurity best practices
- Prepare detailed threat intelligence reports for DHS leadership
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Strong analytical skills and threat modeling expertise
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
