Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced network security protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats and coordinate with federal agencies
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools and analyze threat intelligence
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and conduct security awareness training
- Collaborate with CISA on national cybersecurity initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security or equivalent private sector
- Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
