Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools using Tableau or Power BI to visualize data for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including city departments and external partners, to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with all government regulations and standards.
- Conduct statistical modeling and predictive analysis to forecast future scenarios and support strategic planning.
- Present complex technical findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Ability to obtain a favorable background check as required by federal and state government employment policies.
