Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and environmental compliance audits for industrial facilities
- Develop and implement pollution prevention programs across Albuquerque region
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies
- Coordinate with local government and tribal environmental departments
- Train junior staff on regulatory compliance procedures
- Represent the department at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in government sector
- Valid New Mexico Professional Engineer or Scientist license preferred
- Proficiency in EPA reporting software and GIS systems
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
- Excellent written communication and public presentation skills
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive data access
