Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of EPA and TCEQ environmental regulations for county facilities
- Develop and manage stormwater pollution prevention programs
- Lead waste reduction initiatives and sustainable procurement strategies
- Conduct environmental compliance audits and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate with city, state, and federal agencies on environmental projects
- Design public outreach campaigns for sustainability education
- Manage grant applications and funding for environmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance/regulatory experience
- TCEQ certification in environmental compliance or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations and sustainability frameworks
- Strong project management skills with budget oversight experience
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities
- Experience with GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
