Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional environmental compliance programs for industrial facilities
- Lead air quality monitoring initiatives using GIS mapping and sensor technology
- Conduct regulatory inspections and enforcement actions for water resource protection
- Analyze environmental impact reports for major infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with local governments on sustainability planning initiatives
- Train staff on emerging environmental regulations and best practices
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for agency leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance experience in government sector
- Professional certification (e.g., QEP, CHMM, or PE license)
- Expertise in California environmental regulations (CEQA, Title 22, AB 32)
- Advanced data analysis skills with environmental software (ESRI ArcGIS, Enviroware)
- Strong project management experience with multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Valid California driver's license
