Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats to federal systems.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure network architectures and cloud environments.
- Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices to federal stakeholders and junior staff.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Strong proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strict adherence to telework policies.
