Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale federal datasets using advanced SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive reporting
- Design statistical models to forecast security threats and optimize resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Present findings to senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Mentor junior analysts and implement best practices in data analytics workflows
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain secure data infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics with federal government or regulated industry
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Certification in Tableau, Power BI, or AWS/GCP Data Engineering
- Expertise in handling sensitive classified data and security clearance eligibility
- Strong understanding of federal reporting requirements (OMB, GAO)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex data to non-technical audiences
