Responsibilities
- Collect, Clean, and Analyze: Gather complex datasets from various sources, clean raw data, and perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Decision Support: Develop data-driven insights and visualizations to support federal agency decision-makers in strategic planning and operations.
- Reporting: Create comprehensive reports, dashboards, and executive summaries that translate complex data into actionable intelligence.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity across federal systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling and analysis processes comply with federal regulations, privacy laws, and agency protocols.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings to non-technical stakeholders and leadership, bridging the gap between data science and policy implementation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Clearance: Active or ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or SAS. Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills.
