We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Federal IT Security Analyst to join our elite team in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and security audits for federal contracts to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed Security Plans and System Security Plans (SSPs) for assigned systems.
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate with federal agencies during security breaches or anomalies.
- Implement and monitor security controls, including network segmentation, encryption, and access management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and system administrators regarding federal security best practices.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and government oversight bodies.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal information systems security or IT auditing.
- Deep understanding of DoD or Federal IT security policies, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing senior leadership and government officials.
