Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Conduct system vulnerability assessments and implement security patches to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex system issues and optimize performance.
- Manage lifecycle activities for hardware and software assets, ensuring full auditability and compliance.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, reports, and briefings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (SCI eligible) with current investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in federal IT systems engineering or network administration.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, and switching (Cisco/Juniper experience preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud) is highly desirable.
