Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure federal IT infrastructure and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure strict compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and NIST standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrators and developers.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on strict federal deadlines.
- Manage user access controls, identity management protocols, and directory services for federal personnel.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts to improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
