Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for federal clients.
- Conduct system architecture reviews and ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Lead technical troubleshooting for critical government systems and provide 24/7 on-call support as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope, plan, and execute complex IT projects.
- Document system configurations, security protocols, and technical architecture for audit readiness.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices for federal environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, specifically within a federal or defense contracting environment.
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
