Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced web-based mapping applications and APIs for internal and public use.
- Manage and optimize large-scale geodatabases, ensuring data integrity, security, and high performance.
- Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex spatial requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement spatial analysis models to support infrastructure projects and emergency response initiatives.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging GIS trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in GIS software development and spatial analysis.
- Expert proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Strong command of SQL and relational database management systems (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
