Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify local, state, and federal grant opportunities aligned with the Foundation's strategic goals.
- Develop and write compelling, error-free grant proposals, narrative sections, and budgets that meet strict RFP requirements.
- Collaborate with program directors and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment of project scopes.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including submission deadlines, compliance tracking, and post-award reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, government bodies, and private donors.
- Analyze funding trends to advise the executive team on strategic direction and diversification of revenue streams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or proposal development within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record of securing at least $500k in annual funding through successful submissions.
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive prose.
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., Fluxx, Blackbaud, or Salesforce).
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
