Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade security architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate gaps.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in accordance with federal compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53).
- Lead security awareness training initiatives and ensure strict adherence to security policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are required.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
