Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and systems to support state health initiatives.
- Conduct thorough system analysis and code reviews to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state information from unauthorized access.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide technical guidance on best practices and coding standards.
- Perform regular system maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development or systems analysis within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or SQL.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
- Clearance to work within a secure government facility (if applicable).
