Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the county's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple departments.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage IT project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and delivery of system upgrades and software deployments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy innovative technology solutions that enhance citizen engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of government IT standards, data privacy laws, and security best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
