Responsibilities
- Provide Advanced Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Network Administration: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system updates, patch management, and security audits to protect county data assets.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower staff with the knowledge to use technology effectively.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the deployment of new IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.
- Help Desk Management: Oversee the help desk ticketing system, prioritizing requests to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: AZ DTS Certification (preferred) or CompTIA A+/Network+.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
