Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization environments (VMware/Citrix).
- Provide advanced Tier 3 technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and data privacy standards compliant with government regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to design and deploy IT solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance analysis to proactively address potential issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Deep technical knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if required) and pass a background investigation.
