Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and county assets from evolving threats.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal departments, resolving complex hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Lead IT projects related to system upgrades, cloud migration initiatives, and network expansions in accordance with government compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and design scalable solutions for future growth.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or network engineering.
- Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Proven ability to write technical documentation and create detailed standard operating procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
