Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of server environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery protocols are in place.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive county data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure or AWS preferred).
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
