Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with county strategic goals and budget constraints.
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including department heads, vendors, and external partners, to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans to keep projects on track and minimize disruption to county operations.
- Conduct regular status reporting and presentations to executive leadership to provide transparency into project health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
