Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions for state agencies.
- Oversee network security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Lead technical projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for enterprise hardware and software systems.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Mentor junior staff and conduct technical training sessions within the department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or IT management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to pass a New York State background investigation.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and data protection standards is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
