Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices for county staff and public terminals.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular security audits to protect sensitive government data.
- Manage server maintenance, virtualization environments, and cloud integration projects.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to county departments regarding IT best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to resolve complex IT issues and manage service level agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation (as travel to various county facilities may be required).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.
