Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple county departments.
- Ensure data security and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate system upgrades and migrations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff and conduct regular system performance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong technical proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
