Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide technology policies and standards aligned with federal and state regulations.
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and developers in designing scalable software solutions.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with city stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT project management or systems architecture.
- Proven experience working in the public sector or government environment is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or AWS Solutions Architect are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret).
