Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across various county departments.
- Manage and maintain the Active Directory environment, including user account provisioning, group policy administration, and password resets.
- Install, configure, and upgrade workstations, laptops, and mobile devices running on Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Monitor network performance and security systems to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime for government operations.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to resolve complex technical issues and manage service level agreements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT support processes.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system migrations and software rollouts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 suite.
- Strong understanding of network topologies, TCP/IP, and basic firewall concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented government environment.
