Responsibilities
- Security Operations: Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents within federal networks using SIEM and SOAR technologies.
- Compliance Management: Ensure strict adherence to NIST, FISMA, and other federal compliance frameworks to maintain system authorization.
- Access Control: Manage and audit user access permissions, ensuring the principle of least privilege is enforced across all systems.
- Incident Response: Lead or support rapid incident response efforts to mitigate breaches and restore system integrity.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures for federal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT, cybersecurity, or information assurance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and endpoint protection tools.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and federal leadership.
