Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure systems for city operations.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data across all government networks.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for departmental staff.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the implementation of new software solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement compliance measures.
- Train junior staff and government employees on new technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale government projects on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or government technology.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with government compliance standards such as NIST or FISMA is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to various city facilities.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or PMP are a plus.
