- Oversee system architecture, database management, and cloud infrastructure optimization for government applications.
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government systems.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct technical training sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and compliance reports for federal and state auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or project management.
- Experience working within the public sector or federal government is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of federal regulations such as FISMA and NIST security frameworks.
- Certifications such as PMP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a significant advantage.
