Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure including Cisco routers/switches and cloud environments
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, and compliance with NIST standards
- Provide tier-3 technical support for complex hardware/software issues across 50+ county departments
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing for critical county systems
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and integrate new technologies
- Mentor junior IT staff and document technical procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience with proven network administration
- Certification in Cisco CCNP or CompTIA Security+ required
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware virtualization
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments
- Ability to obtain NC government security clearance within 30 days
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
