Responsibilities
- Analyze Business Requirements: Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze complex business requirements to develop effective IT solutions.
- System Design & Implementation: Design, test, and implement hardware and software solutions that align with county standards and strategic goals.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT products and services.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver IT projects on time and within budget, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Training & Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation and provide training sessions to staff on new systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related IT role within the government or public sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, .NET, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Strong understanding of database management and data warehousing.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or similar professional certifications are a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
