Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise-level IT solutions in alignment with state strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with government officials and department heads to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Project Management: Oversee project lifecycles from initiation to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Technical Oversight: Mentor junior staff and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all technology implementations comply with federal and state regulations, including cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, or IT project management within the public sector or large enterprise.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications are a plus.
