Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closing, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing timely corrective actions to keep initiatives on track.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement policies.
- Prepare and manage detailed project schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and changes effectively to executive leadership and department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technology implementations and infrastructure projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
