Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles for large-scale IT initiatives within the San Francisco government.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timeline adherence using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between technical teams, executive leadership, and external vendors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery of city-wide software implementations.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including project charters, status reports, and change logs.
- Ensure compliance with city policies, federal regulations, and data security standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana.
- Strong experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
