Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain enterprise-level cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53 standards
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on state systems
- Develop security policies and procedures for cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Maintain compliance with Colorado state security regulations and federal mandates
- Train state employees on cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure architecture design
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity role with government or regulated industry experience
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of Windows/Linux security and network protocols
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, FERPA, and Colorado state data regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Active Colorado driver's license
