Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure across county departments
- Lead cloud migration projects for critical public services platforms
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and troubleshooting for county-wide systems
- Develop cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data
- Collaborate with department heads to align IT solutions with operational goals
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software procurement
- Mentor junior IT staff through knowledge sharing and training initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure
- CompTIA Security+ and AWS/Azure certifications required
- Proven expertise in network architecture (Cisco/Juniper)
- Experience with government IT compliance standards (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
