Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and document IT projects and system upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users within the organization.
- Ensure all hardware and software assets are properly tracked, maintained, and upgraded in accordance with federal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity.
- Experience with government IT frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Strong knowledge of network hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
