Responsibilities
- Manage and secure complex federal network infrastructure using CISCO and Juniper technologies.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical hardware and software issues 24/7.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and security protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement patches to mitigate security risks.
- Document system configurations and maintain detailed technical logs for audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems to modern cloud architectures.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or defense contracting.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, or Network+ certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to government stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on-site in Austin, TX, and support after-hours emergency maintenance.
