Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining critical software applications that support county operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test complex software applications and system integrations using modern coding standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior developers and IT professionals on best practices and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure all software solutions comply with government security regulations and data privacy laws.
- Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high availability.
- Document technical requirements, processes, and code for future reference and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (due to occasional travel between county facilities).
