Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Senior IT Specialist to join the Georgia State Government team. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support our critical infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
In this role, you will act as a key technical lead, managing network stability, security compliance, and user support services for state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local and wide-area networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to government employees and stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Perform system administration tasks including user account management and software deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex IT issues.
- Conduct regular hardware and software audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and networking protocols.
- Familiarity with government IT compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
