Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure across county facilities.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
- Configure and manage advanced security protocols to safeguard sensitive county data and intellectual property.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and develop scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular system backups, perform disaster recovery planning, and ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Ensure strict adherence to government compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, and Linux environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with non-technical staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
