Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level server infrastructure using Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and Identity Management systems to secure county assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and manage virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Develop and enforce IT security protocols and disaster recovery plans to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Conduct regular audits of network hardware and software to ensure compliance with government standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CCNA are highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Windows Server administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a government setting.
