Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of server infrastructure, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP standards and agency directives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Oversee system patching, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain compliance with federal security regulations.
- Lead a team of junior administrators and contractors, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Manage and troubleshoot high-availability network configurations and storage area networks (SAN).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Professional Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
